ONE DAY, THAT DAY
(poem)
One day i will not be able
to hear truth anymore,
nor, even at full volume, the spread of falsehoods.
One day i will not be able
to smell relevance anymore,
nor the foul odor of things torn apart.
One day i will not be able
to feel inclusiveness anymore,
nor the pain of not being duly respected.
One day i will not be able
to see neutralness anymore,
nor the ugly faces of immoderation.
One day i will not be able
to taste personhood anymore,
nor the unsavory thingness of rightless bodies.
But that day i will have heard truth,
again and again,
and tried to silence the warlike foes of reason.
That day i will have smelled relevance,
again and again,
and blown away the stench of noxious distinctions.
That day i will have felt inclusiveness,
again and again,
and loosened the grips of exclusivism's agents.
That day i will have seen neutralness,
again and again,
and raised its value, visibly, over the rest.
That day i will have tasted personhood,
again and again,
and prepared this meal for the good of the living.

ONE DAY, THAT DAY
(song)
One day i will not be able
to hear truth anymore.
One day i will not be able
to smell relevance anymore.
One day i will not be able
to feel inclusiveness anymore.
One day i will not be able
to see neutralness anymore.
One day i will not be able
to taste personhood anymore.
But that day i will have heard truth,
again and again.
That day i will have smelled relevance,
again and again.
That day i will have felt inclusiveness,
again and again.
That day i will have seen neutralness,
again and again.
That day i will have tasted personhood,
again and again, again and again,
again and again.
