The fifth chapter of the Book of Symbols comprises the following three divisions:

1. Forms of Action and Nonaction, Thought and Nonthought
   with 1. The meaning of denominational observances
   
   
2. Special Days of Suprapersonal Significance
   with 2. The four Days of Neutrality
   
   
3. Social Formulas of Observance
   with 1. Belonging to an association and not belonging to one
