In the Mid- and Late Southwest Trimester
On 66.52.7 TRINPsite comprises 947 public files, of which approximately
733 different or 'unique' ones: 123 *.htm (not *Txt.htm), 6 *.html,
456 *.HTM, 1 *Txt.htm, 7 style sheets, 9 JavaScript files, 87
pictures, 4 ikons and 40 sound files.
Now new files were added during this period.
Wherever there was a special reason for this existing files were updated
to the latest (F8) format.
Moreover, wherever a part of the content of an old file needed some more
or less substantive change, it was changed.
And, then, of course there are the existing files whose content can just
use some extension and/or extra hyperlinks.
The files of the
Vocabulary of Alliteration typically belong
to this category: the main document of this Vocabulary is updated every
month, together with one of the 25 stave files (on the basis of reverse
alphabetical order).
As noted in the
Chronology document, from 66.51.2 the
compass names will be used by default for the months and larger periods of
the Metric year.
The Model names, which were used in these
Additions and Revisions files for more than
15 years between Northern Late Lent
51 aSWW and Southern Early Lent
66 aSWW, will, from now on, be used more
sparingly, if not on special occasions only.
In Equatorial, Southern Yule and Early Lent
On 66.45.1 TRINPsite comprises 947 public files, of which approximately
733 different or 'unique' ones: 123 *.htm (not *Txt.htm), 6 *.html,
456 *.HTM, 1 *Txt.htm, 7 style sheets, 9 JavaScript files, 87
pictures, 4 ikons and 40 sound files.
In this period the tags of all MP3 files were updated.
The contents of old items were sometimes changed, and new items added.
At the moment all these sound files show the same picture (or 'artwork')
on the left when played.
This picture can also be found at the top of the renewed
Sound Files page.
Its size is 180x180 pixels and its location Pics/MP3_S180.jpg.
(For the MP3 tag itself the original of 270x270 pixels is used.)
Two sound files were deleted, of which one 'unique':
Sound/ODay/LiteToPh.mp3.
It contained the story of
The light to personhood.
This story, however, has been incorporated into Legends of the
Future, the third part of the novel Triptych of Times, which
was published in Southern Mid-Yule.
(For more information about this novel by Vincent van Mechelen see
mvvm.net/Tong/ThL/Fict/Triptych.htm.)
In Northern Lent
On 66.25.1 TRINPsite comprises 948 public files, of which approximately
733 different or 'unique' ones: 123 *.htm (not *Txt.htm), 6 *.html,
456 *.HTM, 1 *Txt.htm, 7 style sheets, 9 JavaScript files, 86
pictures, 4 ikons and 41 sound files.
The present text file (AddNRev/66ASWW.HTM) dates from Northern Late Lent.
One more 'three-square cover-uncover' sliding block puzzle was added on
66.14.2: the
simplest, 13-block variant of
what is called "Uncover the Five by Five". This puzzle uses a
thirteen-by-thirteen square board, the largest board so far.
Between the 17th and the 23rd week a new format was introduced, with the
code F8.
HTML pages in this design format can be easily converted into pages with a
PDF extension, without spoiling the presentation.
Unlike HTML, PDF can be used for reading in any e-reader.
The PDF copies ignore JavaScript (JS), but they are not completely equal
to the non-JS HTML layout as (re)introduced from format F6,
seven years ago.
PDF may require some additional or different source code, especially with
regard to HTML tables.
In principle a change of colors, borders and suchlike only requires a
change in an external CSS file, and not in every separate HTML file.
In principle a new HTML design format should not be needed for such a
kind of change either.
However, it should be kept in mind that the external support files are only
loaded, if and when JavaScript is used.
They will not affect the non-JS HTML display, nor the PDF display.
Therefore, a new design format is an appropriate moment to make sure that
the non-JS presentation will differ from the JS presentation as little as
possible
-- at least where the page proper is concerned, of course.
(Pages in inline frames will not be shown anyhow.)
The following palette will be used henceforth for standard or 'default'
colors (with their R[ed]G[reen]B[lue] values in hexadecimal notation):
Altho F8 is the
latest format, as always, all previous formats are used as well for the
time being.
(The
Lists of Files will show you the text file
format of each page.)
The three most recent formats are now, in reverse chronological order:
Northern Mid-Lent saw the creation of a new poem in Zhezhong Yuyan at
Tong/ZzY/Shige/Shijian.HTM (in
simplified characters) and
ShijianF.HTM
(in traditional characters).
Its title is Shijian Shu (4th, 4th and 1st tone), written as
"事件书" or "事件書".
In This Language the poem is called "The Book of Events", and in Deze Taal
"Het Boek der Gebeurtenissen".
The original at the first address is accompanied by the literal
translations into these two languages.
A few days later Shijian Shu was recorded.
The
MP3 file (1:02, 973 kB)
contains the first natural-voice recording in Zhezhong Yuyan on TRINPsite.
And not only that, it is also the first trilingual sound file on
TRINPsite.
The old and outdated non-graphic page at Time/YWDTxt.htm was deleted on
66.23.4.
It had already been replaced by the graphic version at
(Tong/ThL/)Time/YWD.HTM a long time
ago.
In Northern Yule
On 66.13.1 TRINPsite comprises approximately 728 different or 'unique'
public files: 123 *.htm (not *Txt.htm), 6 *.html, 452 *.HTM, 1 *Txt.htm,
7 style sheets, 9 JavaScript files, 86 pictures, 4 ikons and 40 sound
files.
This site has had crossword puzzles for ten years already.
From now on it will also have sliding block puzzles, five of them to start
with.
They can be accessed from a separate nodal *.htm file for
"Interactive Sliding Puzzles".
There you will also find a description of this special, new type of
'three-square cover-uncover sliding puzzles' (which make use of
Pythagorean triples).
The first subtype is called "Uncover the Three by Three".
It is represented by three basic *.HTM files, among which the
simplest, 6-block variant.
The second subtype is called "Uncover the Six by Six".
It is represented by two basic files, among which the
simplest, 8-block variant.
These puzzles are more than just fun, they also confront the player with
something more serious.
Altogether eight unique files were added in the first quarter of this year:
the six HTML files mentioned above plus one CSS file plus one GIF file.
The new file at CSS/GP_SB.css is a special cascading stylesheet, the new
file at Graf/Bkgr/LinenBrd.gif a special background picture for sliding
block puzzles.
