The above four pictures are screenshots of Five Fingers Grasping the
Earth — a computer poem about the natural environment, which
is the second of five motion poems.
The 24-line black-on-grey representations are original GW-BASIC output,
the 25-line green-on-black ones have been generated with QBasic.

details.)
The two persons mentioned by name here are Merle and Robin, who may be male
or female, both or neither.
In general, it is more or less arbitrary what happens to be the first and
the last lines in the picture taken.
Yet, with some waiting for the appropriate moment, there is a chance too
that they will be ideal opening and/or closing lines, as in the fourth
picture.
