The above five pictures are screenshots of The Middle Finger
— a motion poem about the new paradigm, which is the fourth of
five motion poems.
The 24-line black-on-grey representations are original GW-BASIC output,
the 25-line green-on-black ones have been generated with QBasic.
(See
A Hand with Myriad Digits for more
details.)
In all five motion poems one or two persons are mentioned by name, for
example, Ronnie in A Finger of Value and Andrew and Colleen in
A Finger of Flesh and Blood.
Instead of being mentioned by name directly a person may be mentioned
indirectly by referring to the meaning or a characteristic of
'er name.
Thus, at the beginning of the fifth screenshot 'the one with a
neutral name' is obviously the person called "Ananda".
